About the Boxing Federation of Rwanda

About Us

The Boxing Federation of Rwanda (BFR) was established in 2016 as a national boxing association representing Rwandan boxers. As a non-profit organization, it aims to educate and train Rwandan boxers, and promote boxing domestically and internationally.



VISION

The Boxing Federation of Rwanda is committed to raising the standard of professional boxing, developing boxers to become professionals, and taking positive steps to improve the sport nationally.



PURPOSE

The Boxing Federation of Rwanda (BFR) is a national federation representing Rwandan boxers.

The BFR is committed to supporting boxers and actively works with all stakeholders to provide the best talent in Rwanda the opportunities to improve their skills through training and education and local competitions, and represent the nation in regional and international events.

Kalisa Vick

KALISA VICK

Vick is currently the Adviser and Shareholder of Cross Country Transport Company and in the past, a boxer in Uganda. He won Bronze medal in 2000 at Cameroon Zone 4 competition, and was President of Kimisagara Boxing Club in 2013.

Umwali Josette

VICE-PRESIDENT

UMWALI JOSETTE

Josette is currently the Internal Auditor of Rwanda National Olympic and Sports Committee; and Managing Director of Hurrah International Travel Agency. She earned her degree in Community Development.

Mulisa Henry

SECRETARY GENERAL

MULISA HENRY

Henry currently works at Rwanda Revenue Authority (since 2012). A boxer from 1997 to 2009, he earned his Master in Business Administration and Bachelor in Business Administration.

Kayonde Faisal

KAYONDE FAISAR

Faisar is Chief Executive Officer of Kairu Works Company. He was a boxer from 1998 to 2003. He earned his diploma in civil engineering and concrete technology from Putzimeister, Johannesburg, South Africa, and currently pursuing his Bachelor's degree in construction management.

Nkusi Thomas

GAGA DANIEL

Daniel is currently an active filmmaker and actor in Rwanda and in East Africa, and has starred in many films. He was a boxer from 2000 to 2005.

NKUSI THOMAS

Thomas was a boxer from 1997 to 2007. Currently, he is a film-maker, director, producer, and Chief Executive Officer of The One Film Production. He is currently pursuing an accelerated bachelor-master's program in Public Administration with emphasis on Leadership.

Prof. Vince Sinining

Prof. Vince is an international consultant and Senior Adviser for Sustainable Development to select member states at the United Nations in New York (since 1996), and a professor (since 1988) in the USA, Australia, Philippines, Singapore, and Africa.
